Bel Air, Maryland, February 8, 2016 – Exemplifying the core values of the group he founded just three years ago, and the same core values of the largest real estate franchise in Harford County, Keller Williams American Premier Realty’s Timothy Langhauser joins Board of Directors at Harford Family House to “give back” to the community.

Having hosted two fundraisers last year, an annual Renew-Energize-Donate (RED) Day project and a Bike-A-thon during the holiday season, it only seemed natural for Joyce Duffy, CEO of Harford Family House to invite Timothy to serve as a part of their Board of Directors. “Tim’s enthusiasm for our cause is contagious, he will be a great addition to our Board of Directors”, says’ Joyce Duffy.

RED Day is a national day of service recognized by all Keller Williams agents nationally. It is a day that all Realtor’s dedicate to serve in their community. Tim organized a huge service project which included landscaping, painting, repairing decks and stairwell, and a variety of other service items the house needed.

The Bike-a-Thon was a quick fundraiser during the recent holiday season. Harford Family House requested holiday cards for the families living in their program. When the request got back to Tim, cards just weren’t enough. Tim made it his mission to make sure every child at Harford Family House has a new bike for Christmas. If they already had a bike, then they received a stack of Harford Family Housealternative gifts. Tim also donated basketball hoops, basketballs, footballs, etc. for some fun outdoor play.

Both service projects took time, money, and dedication. “I couldn’t believe Tim took this project on just weeks before his wedding!” said Duffy, “now that shows commitment.” Tim was successful in raising over $25,000.00 to host both of these events. He gladly accepted an award for his service from Harford Family House during their end of year volunteer appreciation ceremony.

When Tim was asked why he focused his service efforts on Harford Family House, he said, “We have focused on the homeless since I began my real estate career. Whether it was prepping nightly dinners or more involved efforts such as those at Harford Family House, we recognize the homeless situation as a great one, right here in this county. What I love about Harford Family House is that it keeps families together! The burdens of life all too soon find us all. It is in those times that we need to pull together as a family to rebuild vs us being separated by our circumstances and possibly have that very separation burden us more.”
